Medical Travel Guidelines
Your health is our priority. Here is how to travel comfortably with medical needs.
Carrying Medication
- Keep medications in original, labelled containers.
- Carry a letter from your doctor for controlled substances or injectable medications.
- Liquid medications exceeding 100ml are permitted through security with a doctor's letter.
- Always carry enough medication in your hand luggage for the full trip plus extra in case of delays.
Fitness to Fly
Passengers with recent surgery, serious illness, or conditions that may worsen at altitude should obtain a Fit to Fly certificate from their doctor before travelling.
Oxygen Requirements
- Personal oxygen cylinders are not permitted on board.
- FAA-approved portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) are allowed — notify us at least 48 hours before travel.
Pacemakers and Implants
Inform security staff about pacemakers or metal implants before going through scanners. Alternative screening methods are available.
Pregnancy
- Up to 28 weeks: No restrictions for healthy pregnancies.
- 28–36 weeks: Medical certificate required.
- After 36 weeks: Travel not permitted.
